Chococoa Baking Company is an artisanal baker of The Whoopie. A smaller, richer, triple chocolate version of the childhood treat. The Whoopie is made with all natural ingredients, including dessert-quality chocolate, organic butter and local, free-range eggs. Our fillings are made with organic buttercream, so you are tasting the very best in flavors and no trans fat.

Our Story

Chococoa Baking Company is the work of the combined talents of co-owners Alan Mons and Julie Ganong. The Whoopie is the realization of a lifelong dream.

Chococoa Café is located in historic Newburyport, Massachusetts on the corner of Washington and Winter streets (next to Joseph’s Winter Street Café). The Café menu includes The Whoopie, fair trade coffee and other delectable baked goods and pastries.
